Privacy Policy

Privacy summary: Whenmark is designed as an offline, local-first utility. It does not require an account and does not transmit your item records or completion history to Whenmark servers.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Whenmark (the “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Whenmark Android application. Whenmark helps you record when you last completed an activity and view the time elapsed and the related completion history.

2. Information You Provide

You may enter information such as item names, categories, notes, icons, the most recent completion date and time, and previous completion records. This content is stored locally on your device. We do not receive it, upload it to our servers, or use it to identify you.

3. Information We Collect Automatically

The current version of Whenmark does not operate a developer-controlled backend and is not designed to collect personal information, advertising identifiers, precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, files, financial information, health information, or app activity for analytics or advertising.

The App may rely on standard Android and Google Play services for installation, updates, security, and crash handling. Google or your device manufacturer may independently process technical information under their own terms and privacy policies. Such processing is controlled by those third parties, not by Whenmark.

4. Permissions

Whenmark is designed to function without sensitive device permissions. It does not need access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, media, call logs, SMS messages, or nearby devices for its core features. If a future version introduces an optional feature that needs permission, the App will request only the minimum permission required and this Policy will be updated before that feature is released.

5. How Information Is Used

Locally stored information is used only on your device to:

6. Sharing and Sale of Information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your locally stored item data with advertisers, data brokers, social networks, or other third parties. The App does not contain social features and does not publish your records.

7. Storage, Security, Retention, and Deletion

Your App content remains in the App’s local storage on your device. It remains there until you edit or delete individual records, clear the App’s storage through Android settings, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App or clearing its storage may permanently remove the data. Because the App has no account or cloud synchronization, we generally cannot recover deleted data or remotely delete data stored only on your device.

We use the protections provided by the Android operating system to isolate App data from other apps. No method of storage is guaranteed to be completely secure, and device security also depends on your device settings and operating-system protections.

8. Backups and Device Transfers

Depending on your Android device and system settings, Android or a device manufacturer may include App data in an operating-system backup or device transfer. Those services are controlled by the relevant platform provider. If backup is enabled by the final production build, its behavior must be reflected accurately in the Google Play Data safety disclosure and in any updated version of this Policy.

9. Children’s Privacy

Whenmark is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by applicable local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because no account is offered and records stay local, we generally cannot identify the age of a user or inspect locally stored content.

10. International Use

Whenmark does not transfer your item records to a Whenmark server. Google Play, Android, device manufacturers, or other platform providers may process their own service data in countries where they operate, subject to their policies and applicable law.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the App’s features, data practices, legal requirements, or distribution arrangements change. The revised version will show a new effective date and will be made available through the App and/or the public privacy-policy webpage used for the Google Play listing. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate manner where required by law.

12. Contact Us

The developer and publisher responsible for this Privacy Policy is Whenmark.
